About the Experience
A hosted experience on our beautiful veranda exploring of vertical tasting of the label, “Barrel Fermented Savatiano”. The tour begins with a walk by the vineyard with a brief description of cultivation methods, followed by a tour of the winery and barrel cellar with an explanation of winemaking techniques. The available vintages are 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022. Savatiano is the indigenous variety of the region of Attica. Half of the fermentation takes place in stainless tanks and the other half in French acacia barrels, where it remains for 5-6 months with the lees. The final product is a blend of 70% 1st use and 30% 2nd use barrels. By participating in the vertical tasting, the visitors have the opportunity to identify differences and similarities between the vintages and discover the evolution of the wine in the bottle. The tasting is accompanied by grissini, cheeses from various regions of Greece and charcuterie.
