About the Experience
Explore the fascinating world of wild mushrooms in the green forests of Zagori in the National Park and Unesco Geopark of Vikos-Aoos. Our expert guides will take you on a 2-hour hike on selected natural habitat sites to help you develop an understanding of the wider ecological significance of mushrooms, as well as of the role of mushrooms in human history, culture and gastronomy. The Safari culminates with a country picnic party featuring mushroom based and traditional offerings, unique local wines and spirits accompanied by the evocative sounds of folk music performed by a local band. (Exclusive vegan/ vegetarian option available upon request).
