About the Experience
Guided tours of the production, grape collection, vinification, and bottling areas, as well as our impressive cellar, where the aging process works its magic. It features a selection of seven iconic Semeli vintages including PDO wines from the two legendary grape growing and wine making regions of the Peloponnese, as well as premium blends of our estate-grown international varieties.

Moschofilero
Produced from Moschofilero grown in vineyards at Zevgolatio in the Mantinia region, at an altitude of 650m. Slow fermentation at a steady temperature of 17-18°C. Bright, yellow-green color. Elegant floral aromas with lemon, citrus and rose petals, typical ofthe Moschofilero variety. Rich and fruity on the palate, with a long aromatic aftertaste. Serve with seafood, shellfish and fish in lemon sauces, as well as with Asian specialties.

From a prime growing area in the heart of the Mantinia wine region, and from a single 25 year old vineyard at an altitude of 650m. Careful fermentation in vats and aging on fine lees for five months. Straw colored with golden hues. On the nose complex aromas of herbs, ripe dried fruit, such as papaya, mango and yuzu, and hints of green fruit. In the mouth the full body and crisp freshness dominate, supported by aromas of bergamot, citron and yuzu, with a very subtle sweet aftertaste.

Malagouzia, Chardonnay
From select vineyards in the high-caliber upland Aegialia wine region at an altitude of 900m, a blend of locally grown Chardonnay and Malagousia, whose extraordinary flavor makes it one of the most aromatic Greek cultivars. Bright straw color with greenish highlights. Intense on the nose, with aromas of green apple, ripe pear, bell pepper and fresh herbs. Full and balanced in the mouth thanks to its crisp acidity, with Chardonnay’s distinctive sense of oiliness. Rich on the palate with hints of green fruit and lemongrass, and a spicy finish.

Syrah, Grenache Rouge
Salmon-colored with gorgeous garnet highlights, this is a bright, crisp rose with a clear and straightforward nose. Fruity with hints of pomegranate, cherry, watermelon and passion fruit, that lead you to identify it with fruits of spring and summer. Pleasant mouth, soft on the palate, right at the mid-point between white and red, just as a rose wine should be! Savor the crispness of the white and the full mouth feel of the red, without missing any of the vibrant flavors typical of a great rose. Pairs well with all summer fare, from large fish and octopus braised in wine to stuffed vegetables and moussaka.

Agiorgitiko
Produced from Greece’s noblest red grape variety, Agiorgitiko, in our hillside vineyards in Nemea. Matures for 12 months in French oak barrels. Bright, youthful, deep red color with notable viscosity. Intense on the nose, young, deep in aromas of dense spices, complex fruit and balanced oak. Full-bodied and smooth in the mouth, well balanced with a long aftertaste. Serve with red meat, grills, pasta with red sauce and a selection of cheeses.

Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon
The latest addition to Semeli’s line-up, SPONDEE 2016, a Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon blend from select vineyards, has aged for 12 months in the winery’s cool cellar. Elegant and complex in the nose, with the aromas of all three varieties expressed in a firm and perfectly balanced way and without a single one of them outshining the rest. The expectations for the mouth raised by the complex, balanced and elegant nose, are totally met, as the signature varietal traits unfold gradually. Generous and spicy, with round, quite soft tannins, well balanced by alcohol, this wine brings a full mouthfeel to the palate.
Nemea Grande Reserve

Agiorgitiko
Bright, deep garnet, with intense viscosity. Ripe red fruit on the nose that illustrates the character of an age-worthy Agiorgitiko. Complex aromas of spices and herbs, coming from the long time spent in barrique, as well as in bottle. Dense and round on the palate. Velvety and graceful tannins, rich alcohol with noted acidity that provides balance. A long aftertaste, full of volume and flavors of chocolate, marmalade, toasted bread and cinnamon. Serve with rich meat dishes, roast lamb, charcoal grilled and spit roasted meats and hard yellow or creamy cheeses.
